Not only did it rain all day, the boys also had to endure strong winds and single-figure temperatures in their 3rd Round Ronan Rafferty Match - as the away team Captain was heard to say at one point "They should play these matches in the Summer !!". That said, the terrible weather helped neutralise any hame advantage and as such the boys have come away witha great opportunity to advance to the quarter finals. Darren & Russell battled hard, and their efforts were appreciated, however the mandatory penalty of not being allowed to travel home in my car was enforced !! Particular mention to the three main points winners Stuart (who fortunately sems to have inherited his Fathers match-play genes), Conor Anderson (who never loses !!) and Ronan Rafferty debutant Reece (Who's ball striking and all-round play was admired by all that had braved the conditions. Half-time 12.5 to 7.5; advatange us, but no room for complacency.
