Darren Clarke launches 'Rockmount Goes Pink' Campaign

This year, Rockmount Golf Club captain's, Mark McConkey and Helen Hall have nominated 'Breast Cancer Awareness' as their chosen charity for their year in office.

Mark and Helen are pictured with Darren Clarke who took time out from his busy schedule to launch the 'Rockmount goes Pink' campaign.

Altogether, 31 various Team Captain's from the club will be wearing pink pullovers to highlight the campaign as their teams play in inter-club matches throughout Ulster this year.

Innovative fundraising schemes will be taking place throughout the year. One particular fundraiser guaranteed to raise plenty of funds is the 'Charity Bunkers' located on the 12th hole, whereby a player is kindly requested to donate a £1 should he/she have the misfortune to go into one of the bunkers.

All proceeds from the fundraisers will go directly to the 'Breast Cancer Awareness' appeal organised by the Ulster Cancer Foundation in Belfast.

If you would like to contribute to this important appeal, please forward a cheque to 'Rockmount Breast Cancer Awareness' c/o The Treasurer, Rockmount Golf Club, 28, Drumalig Road, Carryduff BT8 8EQ
