Rockmount goes to Irish Open

Forty nine hearty souls headed off to Royal Portrush from Rockmount at 7:30am on Friday 29th June for the 2nd round of the Irish Open. The day got off to a great start with bacon rolls supplied by Robert & Diane. Upon arrival at Portrush, our coach driver Pete had a Pass to enable us to park the coach in Kellys right opposite the great course....just absolutely perfect.

The weather was reasonably kind (one or two showers), but mostly quite good.

As a keen observer on the organisational side of the tournament, I have to say that the whole day was extremely well run by the European Tour and all concerned with everybody at the end of the day having a very enjoyable experience even though there were approx. 30,000 people in attendance.

The course stood up to the traffic and was in superb condition.

Here's to the next big event.
