The opening leg of the First Round was played away to Downpatrick on a cold but sunny Sunday afternoon. Play was exceptionally slow due to congestion on the course and at one time 3 Minor Cup matches were waiting on the 4th tee. Some very competitively fought matches saw Rockmount home with 3-2 win and an 8 hole advantage.
The return leg was played on Monday 23rd April after a postponed start due to course closure because of flooding saw Rockmount ladies romp home with very comfortable wins.

Playing conditions weren't great for the second round match, standing on the first tee it seemed more like November than end of May. The girls battled their way round despite the wind & rain. One match went to tie hole and lost, 2 matches lost, one match was all square on 18th and last match was won but it was too late. Unfortunately it wasn't our day.

On a cold windy Monday Morning the Minor Cup kicked of the season at Ardglass against Clandeboye.. Vi got off to a great start and was in very quickly with a 7&6 win followed by Carol winning 5&3, Wendy was 4 down after 4 holes and managed to get the match turned around and won 2&1 Aileen & Noreen's matches both went down the 18th, we had our 3 wins so it didn't matter.
Well done ladies and on to the 2nd round against Mahee Island at Carnalea on Wednesday 25th May..
