The fantastic Easter weather continued as the Fred Daly team headed down to Armagh on Wednesday 27th April for the 1st Leg of the 2011 Fred Daly competition. All matches are played off scratch and after seeing the team sheet I new their strength was at the front with ours being in the tail.
All the boys played their hearts out and the final result came in at 5-2 in Armagh’s favour. With the last match all square going down the 18th it was a big result for Armagh to finish 5 – 2.
Thanks to all who helped with lifts (James, David McClure, Captain) and for those that came to support.
Return leg is Sunday 8th May and if the top players get off to a good start I’m sure we can make it through!!
